Legion Meeting June 15, 2026
The meeting was called to order at 18:45 by 1 st Vice Commander MaryAnn Wink-Kline, with an
affirmed a quorum then proceeded with opening exercises. The Chaplain offered the opening
prayer.
Previous Meeting minutes were read and unanimously approved.
*Treasurer’s report was read by Darrin Kemp. Legion checking ending balance was $402.35. It
was unanimously approved.
Treasurer Kemp was authorized to pay bills as they come due, on a motion by Harry Rinker and
2 nd by Rich Bryan.
Committee Reports:
Sons of the AL: Was read by Barry Rauenzahn. A checking balance of $8764.18. It was
reported that the Son’s will waive the $4000 reimbursement donation from the Legion.
Legion Riders: No Report
Auxiliary: No Report
*Honor Guard: Ackerman reported that 38 Final Honors were rendered, and their
checking balance is $10,957.96.
Scouts: No Report
Chaplain Report: No Report.
Brothers of 76/Pavillion: Harry Rinker stated their treasury was about $5500, and the
clambake was held and are trying pop up pavilion nights.
Activities Committee: Possible comedy night in works.
Kitchen Committee: No Report.
Donation Committee: No report
Memberships:
Read: Leon Kubeck, &; Elijah Fritchman whose memberships were unanimously
approved on a motion by Harry Rinker and 2 nd by Darrin Kemp.
Post Service Officer Report – Darrin was working on helping a member get benefits.
And was looking into getting some position training other than Legion College
Historian Report: No Report.
Sick Call: None to report.
Old Business:
Discussion about the Veteran Share Program. Harry was to report on it this meeting, but
no progress was made. Maryann appointed Curt Swoyer to head up the project and see
if we can get it moving
New Business:
None
Correspondence: None
Good of the Legion: None.
Adjournment: With no other business to be conducted, &; after the Benediction the POW/MIA
flag was properly retired by Harry Rinker. Taps was played closing the meeting.
The meeting was officially adjourned when the bell tapped at 19:20.
