RE: Minutes; Legion Meeting August 17, 2026
The meeting was called to order at 18:45 by Commander Mary Ann Wink-Kline, with an affirmed
quorum, & then proceeded with opening exercises.
Previous Meeting minutes were read and unanimously approved.
*Treasurer’s report was read by Darrin Kemp. Legion checking ending balance on
7/31/2026 was $5317.11. It was unanimously approved, on motion by Mike Schlegel and
2 nd by Norm Krauss.
Treasurer Kemp was authorized to pay bills as they come due, on a motion by Mike
Schlegel and 2 nd by Rich Bryan.
Committee Reports:
Sons of the AL: Robert Halye reported there was a checking balance of $8249.18. 273
members. 4 new cards behind by
Legion Riders: No Report
Auxiliary: No Report
Honor Guard: no report.
Scouts: No Report
Chaplain Report: No Report.
Brothers of 76/Pavillion: stated their treasury was 6614.66. Brothers will pay the
water bill for ¼. Blacktop regrading. Oct 3 will be a Car Show from 9-4
Activities Committee: Bingo proceeds donated back to Legion.
Shrimp Night Open to Public
Kitchen Committee: No Report.
Donation Committee: No report
Memberships:
Legionnaires : Steven Ebrick Jr. (8/16/2026), Greg Yerger (7/27/26), Kenneth Heydt (7/31/26),
SAL: Lester Bartlett (8/16/26) on a motion by Mike Schlegal and 2 nd by Hap Rinker. Vote Approved.
Post Service Officer Report – Nothing to report
Historian Report: No Report.
Sick Call: None new to report, Roy Gehris continues to rehab.

Adjournment: With no other business to be conducted, a Benediction was offered and the
POW/MIA flag was properly retired by Rich Bryan. Taps was played closing the meeting.
The meeting was officially adjourned when the bell tapped at 19:08.
